Life is overwhelming, and it seems like the waves never stop coming. You kick to the surface but you can never fully catch your breath. You are so sick of feeling like you’re always drowning.
Anxious thoughts tell you everything you do is wrong, you’re a burden, everyone hates you. You feel sad or numb all the time. You have given up imagining a life beyond just coping. You can’t imagine what it would be like to be free of the burden that haunts you. People give you easy fixes, but they don’t work and you feel like you’re unfixable.
Your history follows behind you everywhere you go. Your trauma defines you. You’re sick of it, but you can’t seem to leave it behind.
Shame haunts your every step, telling you that you are too broken, too dangerous, too toxic to be loved. If people knew who you really were they would abandon you.
Therapy seems terrifying. You’re scared you’re going to be judged. You feel like you’re not worth helping, you’re making mountains out of molehills, you’re weak. Asking for help feels like defeat. I’m here to tell you that asking for help is a victory.
My name is Victoria Ellis.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (NC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (TX) (LMFT Associate), and I would love to help you.
(Please note, Victoria is only accepting IN-PERSON clients in Flower Mound, TX and VIRTUAL trauma therapy clients in NC at this time)
I help men and women, and teens (ages 14+) process their emotions and thoughts in a safe, nonjudgmental space to get to the root of their suffering. I use research-based techniques like brainspotting, cognitive behavior therapy, and talk therapy to help you discover freedom. I don’t offer easy fixes, but together we figure out what you need to change your life and get free from the thoughts, habits, history, and current situations that have made your life agony.
I’m a good fit for you if you’re ready to dive in to do the work. I am not a blank wall, but will engage with you, challenge you, and encourage you as you fight your demons. If you’re walking into the mud of life, I will be right beside you, matching your pace, and guiding you forward with humor, compassion, and encouragement. I will hold hope for you until you can hold it for yourself. I believe in a client’s agency and their ability to make lifelong and lasting changes.
I do in-person trauma therapy in Flower Mound, TX and see clients virtually throughout TX and NC.
Stop surviving. Start living.
