Reconnect. Reset. Remember Why You Started.
You’ve spent your career being the one people call when everything falls apart. You’ve seen more than most, and some things you wish you could unsee. You’ve carried those memories quietly because people depend on you and you keep showing up. You tell yourself you’re fine. But lately, something feels off. You’re running on fumes, snapping at people you love, or feeling nothing at all.
This isn’t weakness, it’s exhaustion. It’s called Emergency Responder Exhaustion Syndrome (ERES), and it happens when your mind and body stay in survival mode for too long. It doesn’t just affect you; it affects your family, too. The distance. The irritability. The quiet. They feel it, even when you don’t mean for them to.
I’m Mirelle Chateigne, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Associate; retired law enforcement sergeant turned first responder therapist.
After 22 years in uniform, I know what it’s like to push through shift after shift with no off switch. Now, I help first responders and their families find a way to stand down, reconnect, and breathe again.
In therapy, you won’t be analyzed or “fixed.” You’ll be seen. You’ll have a space to exhale, reset, and reconnect, with yourself, your family, and the purpose that drew you to serve in the first place. Healing isn’t about losing your edge, it’s about finding your balance again.
Whether you’re a first responder, a spouse, or a family member, this is a space where you don’t have to explain the culture, the dark humor, or the pressure to hold it all together. I offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, because I understand the demands of shift work and family life.
You’ve spent your life serving others. Now it’s time to make sure you, and the people you love, have the support you deserve to heal, reconnect, and live fully again.
