You’re struggling to find the light in the darkness.
Sometimes it feels like your head is under water. Your heart pounds relentlessly; you’re numb, yet simultaneously overwhelmed by emotion. Your story may haunt you—whether it’s one you’ve shared openly or one you’ve tried desperately to bury. You yearn to be free from this heaviness and to feel like yourself once more.
My name is Gwen Soat, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA). I’d be honored to support you.
I specialize in helping men and women ages 18+ courageously explore their stories to uncover healing, growth, and renewed hope amidst their darkness. I especially enjoy helping first responders through my real-world understanding of the challenges from my own past training in criminal justice and law enforcement.
My primary counseling approach integrates person-centered, attachment-based, trauma-informed, and mindfulness-based therapies. This eclectic methodology allows me to collaborate genuinely and empathetically with clients, offering unconditional positive regard.
Drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I tailor our work together to meet your unique needs. Additionally, I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to help you effectively heal from trauma.
Counseling with me offers a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to authentically share your story. My role is to empower you as we navigate your healing and growth path. I believe you are the expert in your own story, and together we’ll find your path to lasting peace.
You’re not alone—begin your journey toward healing today and schedule your free, 15-minute consultation.
Stop surviving. Start living.
